The story of one of the first girlsband in Europe, inspired by true events.
In 1979, four Portuguese girls are hired to form a girlsband named DOCE. They can sing, they can dance and they become a big hit. Despite their success, controversy was inevitable in an old-fashioned, conservative and male-dominated society; yet Doce resisted and succeeded against prejudice and defamation.
The lyrics of their hits manifested sexual liberation, accentuated by their bold, feminine outfits. They were independent, determined and followed their passion.
